The Canadian Reining Committee is thrilled to announce the appointment of the highly coveted and internationally experienced coach and judge, Lyne Laforme of Mont St Hilaire, QC as the Chef d’Equipe to lead the Reining Team heading to the World Equestrian Games in Normandy, FR.

“The CRC is proud to announce the appointment of Lyne Laforme as Chef d’Equipe for the 2014 WEG Reining Team. Lyne’s long standing reputation of excellence as a trainer, coach and judge will be a great asset to our team in Normandy. The CRC looks forward to a long and successful relationship between Lyne and Team Canada,” commented Beth Hora, Chair of the Canadian Reining Committee.

Laforme has judged major NRHA and FEI international events in Canada, USA and Europe including the Masters CRI. With over 35 years of experience in coaching, Laforme was awarded an Equine Canada Coaching Excellence Award for Reining High Performance in 2012. Her coaching has taken her to Europe where she now provides clinics in judging, training and coaching in addition to her clinics in Canada. She has also been working with Equine Canada and the Federation Equestre du Quebec to develop the coaching program for the past 25 years as an evaluator. Laforme shares her passion of horses with her family. Her two children are reining trainers and her husband a professional photographer for many North American equestrian competitions.
