Twenty-seven-year old Belgian show jumper, Nick Motmans, has died after sustaining a head injury when he fell from his horse during a training exercise in Lanklaar, Belgium, on December 5th.
After the accident, in which he fell off and was struck in the head by one of his mount’s legs, Motmans was taken to hospital. He was was operated on then put into a coma, on life support.
Motmans succumbed to his injuries on December 6th.
