The 2009 HSBC FEI World Cup™ Eventing moves to North America for the first time this year, with this weekend’s seventh leg at Kalispell in Montana (23-26 July).

The annual event at Rebecca Farm has attracted 19 entries from US and Canadian riders, including dual Olympian Amy Tryon (USA), who this time rides Leyland, 13th at the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event in April.

Canadian Olympian Hawley Bennett brings two horses, her Athens veteran Livingstone and Gin N Juice, and Jil Walton rides My Sedona.

The Cross-Country will again be designed by Captain Mark Phillips (GBR), who is also responsible for the newly added qualifier at Gatcombe (GBR) a fortnight later, while Richard Jeffery, 8-times USEF Show Jumping Designer of the Year, will take responsibility for the final day stadium climax.

North American-based riders have one final chance to qualify for the HSBC FEI World Cup™ Eventing Final at Strzegom (POL) over the border at Mansfield, Ontario (CAN) in a fortnight’s time.
