Ottawa, ON—Canadian Olympian Evi Strasser enjoyed top ten placings in the Grand Prix Freestyle at the CDI-W Marianske Lazne in Marienske Lazne, Czech Republic, August 29–31, 2008.

 

Strasser rode her longtime partner Quantum Tyme, a 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding (Quattro x Argentinius), in the Grand Prix test and then went on to finish in eight place in the Grand Prix Freestyle out of a field of 12 competitors with a score of 69.200%.

 

“Quantum was in such great spirits for the Grand Prix that he added in a couple of extra movements,” said Strasser. “He settled in for the freestyle and was just amazing to ride.”

 

Strasser now has her sights set on the next CDI competition which is CDI 3* Saumur held September 25–28 in Saumur, France.

 

The international judging panel included Kerstin Holthaus (FEI I—GER), Kinga Szucs-Gaspar (FEI C—HUN), Elizabeth Koffmahn (FEI I—AUT), Petr Holler (FEI I—GER) Janusz Lawin (FEI I—POL) and Rolf Beutler-Bath (FEI I—GER).
