The second competition of the second day of the 88th CSIO of Rome on the Piazza di Siena in the green oval arena was conquered by an equestrian who has already written great pages in the history of the Roman show jumping: Eric Lamaze.

On his chestnut Chacco Kid, the Canadian rider was the only one to go under one minute (58.78) in the MAG Prize, an around the clock category (h 1.55) with 61 combinations.

Lamaze was almost four seconds faster than Emilio Bicocchi, who finished second (62.32) on the Italian mare Rondine del Terriccio. Third on the podium was another Italian rider Piergiorgio Bucci, on Cochello (62.90).
