As the 2010 competition season begins to draw to a close, Equine Canada would like to remind everyone of the nomination deadline for the Equine Canada National Awards and the importance of nominating those you feel are worthy of such recognition.
These national awards are intended to recognize individuals who have made a significant impact in the Canadian equestrian industry and are comprised of the following:
· Equine Canada Equestrian of the Year — The Doctor George Jacobsen Trophy,
· Equine Canada Junior Equestrian of the Year — The Gillian Wilson Trophy,
· Equine Canada Media Award — The Susan Jane Anstey Trophy,
· Equine Canada Volunteer of the Year,
· Equine Canada Lifetime Achievement Award, and
· Equine Canada / Just Add Horses Environment Award.
These prestigious awards will be presented as part of the Equine Canada Annual Awards Gala which will be held at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa on Saturday, January 29, 2011 as part of the Equine Canada Annual Convention. This fantastic evening is dedicated to acknowledging the Canadian equestrian accomplishments of 2010 and thanking those who make it all happen.
