Equine Canada is seeking an energetic, well organized professional to fill the position of executive assistant to the chief executive officer at the national office in Ottawa.

The executive assistant will provide administrative support and coordinates activities for the CEO in accordance with Equine Canada’s policies, practices and requirements of governing organizations.

Candidate experience and qualifications should include
• post-secondary degree in business, administration or equivalent combination of education and experience;
• proven experience in a similar role;
• demonstrated knowledge of computer software;
• strong communication skills both oral and written and bilingualism strongly preferred;
• demonstrated administrative skills with the ability to prioritize and problem solve;
• demonstrated knowledge of the equestrian or equine community and/or issues;
• experience working in a non-profit organization; and
• proactive, innovative and motivated.
