Endurance Canada Announces WEG Team and Individual Rider

The Endurance Canada Committee is pleased to announce the Team and individual who will represent Canada, on September 26, at the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games (WEG).

Robert Gielen – Norton, NB – F.C. Galaxy
Ruth Sturley – Owen Sound, ON – RBF Super Sport

Individual
Yvette Vinton – Morriston, FL – Teese

Alternate
Terre O’Brennan – Delta, BC – Koszaar 

The 160 km race, starting at 7:30 a.m., will wind through the beautiful bluegrass countryside and will consist of five compulsory veterinary checks and hold times where the horses will be carefully monitored. The riders must complete the course in less than 12 hrs 20 min, but it is anticipated that the winning times will be much faster, but the final time is always dependent on weather conditions.
