Dressage Canada is governed by a Board of seven (7) persons: 6 elected director-at-large by its membership and 1 athlete representative elected by the current list of short and long listed riders. Elections are held on a yearly basis and each year there is a minimum of two (2) Director-at-Large positions open on the Dressage Canada Board.
There are four (4) elected director-at-large positions which will be available on the 2008 Dressage Canada Board of Directors. All nominees must be Senior members in good standing of Dressage Canada by August 3, 2007.
Deadline for nominations is September 7, 2007.
The 2008 Board takes office January 1, 2008. All Board members must be current members in good standing with both Dressage Canada and Equine Canada.

Election Timelines:
1st Friday of August – Call for nominations. Nominees must submit a biography with the nomination endorsement form, and may include a photo.
1st Friday of September – Close of nominations.
3rd Friday of September – Mail-out of biographies and ballot packages to all Dressage Canada members listed as of the call for nominations date.
4th Friday of October – Deadline for return of ballots to returning officer.
At the Royal Winter Fair – Announcement of Election Results.
January 1st – New Board members take office.
Watch your mailbox this fall for the election package which will include election information, biographies of all the nominees and voting ballot. Ballots must be returned to the Manager Dressage at the Equine Canada office by October 26th, 2007.
Election results will be announced to the membership at the Dressage Canada reception scheduled for the Royal Winter Fair. We hope to see you there!!!
