Dressage Canada Announces First Official WEG Training Session

you're listening to an article from horse sport.com. dressage canada announces first official weg training session. ottawa, on – dressage canada is pleased to announce the first official training session with robert dover for western canada and california-based canadian weg declared riders. the session is scheduled for february 20–21, 2010 at dove hollow dressage center ( ), in olivenhain, california. dove hollow is owned by flo brown, who has graciously allowed the canadian dressage team to use the facility for high performance training sessions throughout the season. the facility has been recognized as an official southern training centre for canada’s world equestrian games (weg) hopefuls to work with the technical coach advisor robert dover. spanning five acres, dove hollow boasts three dressage arenas, one 200’ x 75’ covered indoor and two regulation sized dressage arenas both with mirrors and excellent sand footing on their 40 horse premiere dressage training centre. this high performance training session is strongly encouraged for canadian weg declared riders based in the west and training in california. the session will provide private training for canadian weg declared riders. riders are welcome to bring their personal trainers/coaches to their personal sessions. advertisement scroll to continue with content weg declared riders should contact christine peters cpeters@equinecanada.ca for additional information and for the schedule of ride times. additional riders interested in booking ride times with dover as part of the open clinic also scheduled for february 20 – 21, 2010 are requested to contact allison harding at 858-401-2668. the first official high performance training session for florida-based canadian weg declared riders was held the weekend of january 16 – 17th, 2010, at stillpoint farm in wellington, fl. this proved to be an amazing weekend for team canada. a special thank you goes out to tuny page, owner of stillpoint farm, for the use of her lovely facility and covered arena which saved the day. during the session riders had the opportunity to present their weg declared horses to gary rockwell, fei o dressage judge. in the end all the riders and dover worked very hard, with focus on the main objective—a medal in kentucky. an additional thank you goes out to jacqueline brooks, cheryl meisner and all the boarders, trainers and supporters who did all they could to make the first canadian high performance training session a huge success at stillpoint farm.
