Tiffany Foster has announced that as of June 26th, Donjo (Zirocco Blue VDL x Rutricia) will be her official ride, thanks to a partnership with Ariel Grange and Lothlorien Farm. The 10-year-old chestnut KWPN gelding, which Foster has been campaigning since March, was formerly ridden by Cian O’Connor (IRL). Prior to that, he was ridden by Tobias Meyer (GER) and got his start as a five-year-old owned by Slovakian interests and ridden by Juraj Hanulay. The horse will now represent the Canadian flag and has already achieved a qualifying score with Foster for WEG Tryon at La Baule in May.
Foster commented on her Little Creek Equestrian Facebook page:
“I am very happy to say that Donjo has been secured for me to ride and represent Canada by Ariel Grange and Lothlorien! One big orange horse and two Canadian girls ‒ sounds like a perfect combination! Big thanks to @cianoconnorofficial for the opportunity to ride this wonderful horse!”
Most recently, the pair competed at the Spruce Meadows National where they earned an 8th-place finish in the 1.55m ATB Financial Cup.
