After an immensely successful year of conducting clinics, which culminated in an overwhelmingly positive response from Holland and the Dutch media, Chris Irwin has recently been chosen as the recipient of a $100,000 USD grant.

The anonymous benefactor from Arizona spent years researching the horse industry’s top rated clinicians, searching for a trainer with an approach that he could resonate with. He stated in a recent interview: “I believe in what Chris Irwin is doing and his approach with the horses. He is much closer to realizing what the general trend in horsemanship should be because he understands what the horses need and how they really work better than anyone else I’ve seen. I believe very strongly in his approach and it validates what I have always looked for with horses – true communication.”

Chris Irwin says: “This incredible and wonderful surprise couldn’t come at a better time for it will allow us to begin construction this spring. This is the down payment on a barn, indoor arena and event center, which is the next critical step in building our dream of an equestrian retreat.”

Chris and Kathryn’s scenic Riversong Ranch in Alberta will begin hosting events in October 2007.
