Ottawa, ON – Over the past two weeks, Canadian Olympian Evi Strasser of Sainte-Adele, QC, has earned two WEG-qualifying scores with her Oldenburg gelding Quantum Tyme (by Quattro).
Strasser and Quantum Tyme placed fifth in the Grand Prix at CDI3* Hartpury, held July 14-18, 2010 in the United Kingdom, earning 67.404% from the panel of five FEI judges. The combination also scored 72.000% in the Grand Prix Freestyle, earning them fourth place.
Strasser has been competing in Europe all season, with both Quantum Tyme and Action Tyme in Grand Prix. Quantum Tyme is the seasoned competitor at this level, having represented Canada with Strasser at the 2006 World Equestrian Games and the FEI World Cup that same year.
“I am thrilled with Quantum’s performance,” said Strasser. “He is in top form and there is still room for improvement. I will play it by ear for WEG, I will try to ride the best I can and if it happens that I get great scores, then I would look forward to going to Kentucky.”
At CDI3* Audi Cup in Strassen, Luxembourg, Strasser and Quantum Tyme competed in the Grand Prix for Freestyle on July 23, 2010, earning third place with a score of 65.617%.
