Anne Sutherland, of Tornoto, ON, piloted her own 13-year-old Rhinelander gelding, Lancelot Fly, into the winner’s circle at the $50,000 Florida Dressage Classic CDI-W at the Global Dressage Festival. Sutherland and Lancelot Fly won both Adult Amateur Prix St. Georges classes and also rode away with the Everglades Dressage Adult Amateur Achievement Award, sponsored by Everglades Dressage and Bethany Peslar.

“This is my first season in Florida and I am so delighted to be here,” Sutherland said. “I can’t believe how well the show was organized and everyone was so nice. I just love being here.”

Sutherland, who rides with Nancy McLaughlin in Canada, was also pleased with Lancelot’s trips in the Prix St. Georges classes. “He is 13 now and I have had him since he was three. I have had help from two great trainers along the way and it has been a great journey. Lancelot, or Flyboy as I call him, is a really great boy and I just love him. I am also thrilled to win the Adult Amateur Award and want to thank Everglades Dressage and Bethany.”
