Eric Lamaze picked up a new mount at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington.
Artisan Farms purchased the seven-year-old grey gelding, Check Picobello Z (Cardento x Orlando), for Lamaze to ride.
Last year, under Lowie Joppen, Check Picobello Z finished eighth in the World Championships for six-year-olds in Lanaken. Immediately afterwards, he was sold by Joppen and breeder Luc Ruant to Tal Milstein. Milstein sent the gelding to Wellington, where Lamaze observed him in training and decided to snap him up.
