The FEI’s 2019 calendar includes a September 20-22 date for a CSI5* in Montreal, QC ‒ rumoured to be a new stop on the Longines Global Champions Tour. The FEI Communications Department could only confirm that “The CSI5* show in Montreal will take place in September 2019, and appears to be part of the Global Champions Tour. We do not have schedules for competitions in 2019 so far in advance.” An attempt to obtain more information from LGCT was unsuccessful.
With no details concerning the exact location of the show, popular speculation has it taking place at lovely Jeanne Mance Park in downtown Montreal’s Plateau Mont-Royal borough. It could also possibly be held at Parc Jean-Drapeau on île Sainte-Hélène and île Notre-Dame, the site of Expo 67 and horse shows in the 1960s and early ’70s. Olympic Park (as its name suggests, the grounds of the 1976 Summer Olympics) in the west end of Montreal is a less likely venue.
We eagerly anticipate a Global Champions event in Montreal, because:

Any excuse to eat poutine in Quebec is a valid one.
#3. The Boss
Canada needs more Bruce Springsteen sightings.
