The Fair Hill Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving as Maryland’s partner in a public private partnership committed to the success of Fair Hill and the Maryland 5 Star, is auctioning off a customized 4-Star Trailer to benefit the Maryland 5 Star. 4-Star Trailers, the Official Trailer Sponsor of the Maryland 5 Star, has generously donated this trailer to the Fair Hill Foundation.
The storied tradition of Eventing at beautiful Fair Hill continues with the inaugural Maryland 5 Star to be held at the newly constructed Fair Hill Special Event Zone in Elkton, MD (Cecil County). One of only two 5 Star events in the United States, and seventh worldwide, the prestigious 5 Star (CCI5*) designation is the pinnacle of the sport of eventing, best described as an equestrian triathlon. Arriving in October 2021, the event marks a new chapter for the state of Maryland’s prestigious horse and equestrian tradition. The event will showcase four days of competition in Dressage, Cross Country, and Show Jumping.
“The Maryland 5 Star’s success is key to all that will follow at Fair Hill,” said Charlie Fenwick, Foundation president. “All phases of the equestrian community interested in Fair Hill – eventing, steeplechasing, and turf racing – must join together to get this done. We have been presented with a wonderful opportunity. The Foundation’s immediate goal is to make the 2021 Maryland 5 Star an unqualified success.”
To ensure the inaugural October 14-17 Maryland 5 Star is a success, the Fair Hill Foundation (FHF) is singularly devoting its energies to raising $1 million to finalize construction of the cross-country course and provide sufficient operating funds for the Event. To assist in meeting our fundraising goal, FHF is auctioning a customized 4-Star Trailer 2+1 model, 23’6″ long, 8’ tall, 6’9” wide. Retail value $52,117.
