Ottawa, Ontario — The 2007 Equine Canada Annual Convention is set for February 5 – 12, 2007 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Ottawa, ON.

This year’s convention is packed full of clinics and educational sessions which are an asset to every horse lover. Education sessions range from Equine 911: First Aid for Your Horse, to Colic Prevention, Nutritional Management and Realistic Supplement Requirements and Lameness Identification and Management.

Clinic Sessions boast a Jumper Judges’ Clinic and a Hunter, Hunter Seat, Equitation and Hack Judges’ Clinic with Judges Lisa Cieplucha (FEI Level ‘C’) and Marjorie Dennis (FEI Level ‘I’). Also featured will be an Officials’ Clinic with EC/FEI Steward Jan Stephens, as well as a free Dressage Canada Information and Rules Forum. The 2007 Convention will also play host to the 2007 Equine Canada National Awards Banquet, to take place Saturday, February 10 from 6:30 pm to 12:00 am. Equine Canada’s most prestigious awards – Equestrian of the Year, Junior Equestrian of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and the NEW Media Award in memory of Susan Jane Anstey, will be presented during the banquet dinner.
