The International Bromont begins its 42nd edition today at the Bromont Olympic Equestrian Park. The event will present a programme unique to Quebec, culminating with the Longines FEI World CupTM Jumping Bromont on Sunday, August 6, 2017.

This year, International Bromont also celebrates its new partners, notably the Belgian company Dy’on and a Canadian company from British Columbia, Back on Track.

First leg of the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping North American League

International Bromont is the first event of a series of seven for the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping North American League – East Coast.

International riders have an opportunity to start their season and earn important points to qualify for the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping, taking place in Paris, in April 2018.

A record number of participants in the international events

This year in its FEI events, the International Bromont welcomes the highest number of participants registered. Circuit veterans like Jill Henselwood (CAN), Mac Cone (CAN), Peter Leone (USA), Leslie Howard (USA), Jonathan McCrea (USA), Mario Deslauriers (USA) will compete against promising young talents, including Nicholas Dello Joio (USA), Andrew Kocker (USA), François Lamontagne (CAN), Isabelle Lapierre (CAN), David Arcand (CAN) as well as Lucy Deslauriers (USA).

Lucy Deslauriers, daughter of Mario Deslauriers, makes her debut on the World Cup circuit this year in Bromont, with her equine partner, Hester. The young lady, who just celebrated her eighteenth birthday, is one to be watched. Following her many championship wins, notably the Junior and Young Riders and the USEF under 25 in 2015, as well as recent victories in Ottawa in the CSI3*—she is a serious contender for the podium at the International Bromont.
