For the past five days, Northlands was pleased to host the 43rd annual Canadian Finals Rodeo and Farmfair International from November 9 – 13 at Northlands Coliseum and at the Edmonton EXPO Centre. Two of Edmonton’s largest annual events spurred western excitement throughout the Northlands grounds and the entire city of Edmonton, with a combined attendance of 182,968.

“Once again this event acted as a strong bridge between rural and urban,” said Tim Reid, President and CEO, Northlands. “As an agricultural society we are proud to see the continued strength and activation while respecting the fact that many farmers and ranchers are still having to spend time in the fields harvesting their crops.”

The 43rd edition of Farmfair International drew a record 95,574 guests to the Edmonton EXPO Centre to take in cattle shows and sales, equine events, the Heritage Ranch Rodeo, RAM Country Marketplace and more. Farmfair International brought international buyers from 12 countries together to conduct business, trade industry knowledge and to purchase top-quality genetics from Alberta producers. With more than 1,500 head of livestock exhibited including more than 1,000 head of purebred cattle, the 2016 edition of Farmfair International was one of the biggest yet.
