Kendal Lehari was the top Canadian rider at the 2014 edition of the Richland Park Horse Trials, held in Richland, MI, August 21–24, 2014.
Lehari of Uxbridge, ON, rode Totally Frank, her own nine-year-old Canadian thoroughbred gelding to seventh place in the CIC3*. The pair only added 1.20 cross country time penalties to their dressage score of 62.40 to finish with a final score of 63.60.
In the CIC2* division, Diana Burnett of Blackstock, ON, was 21st riding Bonner’s Chief II, a nine-year-old Canadian Thoroughbred gelding. Following a dressage score of 52.80, Burnett and Bonner’s Chief II added eight jumping faults and 13.60 cross country time penalties for a final score of 74.40. In 22nd place was Sean McIntosh of LaSalle, ON, riding Wild T’Matter, while Waylon Roberts was 23rd riding Bill Owen.
