Hmmmm I don’t love traveling, but I like arriving. Everything went smoothly today minus the torrential downpour (ONLY over Jessica’s farm).
The federal vet examined Woody and the trailer this morning early at Balsam Hall (poor girls had to pressure wash and disinfect it). Woody got his Omega Alpha RegenerEQ and Gastra FX and gobbled his Trimax and oats with gusto.
Papers signed, horse loaded and off we went to Jessica’s farm to drop off Anne Marie and Woody. It poured while we loaded up Jess’ trunks, mum and I headed to KLM warehouse where we unloaded all our gear. Added four lovely Tipperary Xc vests to our loot and said my good byes to mum ’til she meets up with me at WEG.
I had to sit in Pearson for seven hourse (flight to Heathrow not ’til 8:40 p.m.).
I had planned to have my nails done (would have been a first). Alas, they didn’t have a salon in my section of airport. Boo!
So I ate a lot (I know SHOCKER) and had a nap.
Waiting now for them to let us on! “Grooming airplane” causing a delay. As I tell everyone, I’m not excited ’til my horse has one foot on the plane. Woody and AM went with Pavarotti and family to KLM around 7:00 p.m John Rumble and Jimmy Elder went to see them off. Don Good also said good bye to Rotti. Superb owners really!
They won’t fly out ’til close to midnight. Of to Amsterdam for them to meet up with “the juicer” Ginny;) They will overnight ferry to UK where we will all reunite at Maizey Manor for team training.
Max and Hawley will meet me at Heathrow then we will share a car to Maizey.
I’m SO EXCITED to see my teammates and be back at Maizey Manor (having trained there with Colombo for Badminton) this facility is second to none!
Let’s go Canada! Let’s Go!
