Canadians Jordan McDonald of Oakville, ON and Michael Winter, currently riding out of Cirencester, UK competed at the Whatley Manor International Horse Trials held at Gatcombe Park in Stroud, Gloucester, GBR where competitors completed all three phases in a single day over cross country courses designed by HRH The Princess Royal, and Patricia Biden.
In the CIC2* division, Winter and Alison Parson’s Lucullus, an eight year-old German bred gelding sired by Lohengrin N. Gek, rode to 19th place on 73.2, while McDonald who has recently re-located his training base to GBR rode Glencento, Amanda and Jorge Bernhard’s eight year-old Irish Sport Horse mare sired by Inocent, landed in 25th place on a final score of 84.8.
In the CIC1*division, Winter and Jonathan Nelson’s nine-year-old British bred gelding Nothing Gained finished 32nd in the CIC1* on a final score of 56.7 penalties.
