Zara Phillips, the Queen’s 32-year-old granddaughter, has announced that she and husband Mike Tindall are expecting their first child in the New Year.
Approximately three months along, Phillips, who was a member of the silver medal winning British eventing team at the 2012 London Olympics, will continue to ride for the time being. She is entered in three events later this month, where she is slated to ride six horses.
The child will be 16th in line to the throne and will join Prince William and Duchess Catherine’s baby, who is due to arrive within weeks, as the newest member of the Royal family.
