Buying horses online at Youhorse.auction has earned a worldwide reputation and so, on Tuesday night October 5th there was a heated battle for several showjumping horses. Two were sold for 60,000 euro and one for 50,000 euro – super motivation for the auction organizers Mario Everse and Alan Waldman, but also for the sellers of the horses.

“To be quite honest, we were not totally surprised about the good prices. We had some real good horses in this collection and their prices conformed more or less to the market but… you still have to sell them and reach the right people. Besides several sales to well-known clients, there were again many newcomers with confidence in our auction and that means a lot to us,” said Everse.

A total of 27 horses were offered in this 15th online auction, four of which will go to the USA, three to Mexico and two to Canada. There were also purchases from Spain, France, Great Britain, Estonia, Finland and one from the Netherlands. Several riders managed to make useful additions to their stables; a well-known German eventing and showjumping rider also came shopping again and put down 30,000 euro for the four-year-old, powerfully jumping Meerstad (Global Express x Cardento VDL).

And now the auction highlights: For 60,000 euro, Lex (Comme il Faut x Biscayo) will leave for France. This five-year-old talent had not yet officially appeared in the showjumping ring, but is bound to make headlines in the future. For 60,000 euro the four-year-old Belgian Warmblood mare Ribery (Aganix du Seigneur Z x Diamant de Semilly) will go to Canada and she also seems to be made for the top level of the sport.

The four-year-old stallion Valentino van Spalbeek Z (Vigo d’Arsouilles x Flamenco de Semilly), half-brother of the 1.60m Grand Prix horses Seacoast Pebbles and Aristo Z, gets himself to a new stables in Spain for 50,000 euro. The auction clock stopped twice at 32,000 euro: for the 17-year-old top-class showjumping pony High Dream N, who will continue his career in the USA, and the young, impressive Zangersheide mare Toulouse van het Beeckhof Z (Toulon x Quinar Z) who will leave for Canada.

The next Youhorse.auction selection and photo/video day is planned for Tuesday, October 12 at Stal Everse in Waddinxveen. More info at www.youhorse.auction.
