Viva Voltaire has proven to be an exceptional and versatile sire of dressage, hunter and jumper champions. We often called him “our best kept secret” but the word is out!

Viva Voltaire was the only sire to have two offspring competing at the 2011 PanAm Games in Dressage. The stallion Viva’s Salieri, ridden by Tom Dvorak, placed fourth individually and won the Silver medal with Team Canada. Viva Veroveraar had the best score for Guatemala.

Viva’s Salieri won several dressage championships, showing promise from a young age. Highlights included his win of the FEI 5 year old class at the prestigious “Dressage at Devon” with a dream score of 81.6% and the North American breeders title. Trained by Tom Dvorak from age 4, Salieri proved very talented for both piaffe and passage and won Prix St. George classes in 2009 during his first year of competing at the FEI level. In 2014,Viva’s Salieri won the Grand Prix Special at the CDI-W at Palgrave in June and was second in the Grand Prix Special at the CDI3* in Lexington, KY. Salieri tragically passed away late in 2014.

Watch for other Viva Voltaire offspring to make their mark in the dressage world in the near future.

Viva Voltaire proved his jumping talent early in his own career. In the 1998 stallion inspections he showed the most scope over jumps of all the stallions tested in Verden, according to the publication “Der Hannoveraner” and in his 100 day test, received scores of “9” for jumping ability, disposition, character, ability to work and willingness to work.

As a four year old, he was Champion in the Ontario Young Horse Development Series for 4/5 year olds then went on to win Reserve Champion for the next year as a 5 year old and also in the National Finals at the Royal Winter Fair.

Although he no longer competes due to injury, he is clearly passing on his jumping ability to his foals. Viva Voltaire typically produces stunningly beautiful, flashy foals, with excellent gaits, lots of jump and the most wonderful temperament.

His offspring are winning in the hunter and jumper rings.

Vivaldi, Viva Las Vegas, Viva’s Primus and Viva’s Hit claimed numerous Hunter Championships in the US. Viva’s Primus and Saltorello have been USEF Zone Champions, Junior Hunters. ‘Otherwise’ was the Ontario Ultimate Hunter Challenge Champion in 2007 and 2009. Viva’s Romina and Viva’s Don Juan have won young horse jumper classes both in Canada and the US. Viva’s Romina is a top young jumper prospects in the US who was offered for sale by her new owner for a substantial six figure amount as a coming seven year old. Viva produced many other successful show jumpers and he is also the sire of an AHS fully-approved son.

Viva Voltaire offers his outstanding temperament, movement, versatility and athleticism to your breeding program. Charlot Farms also offers a number of yearling, two and three year old Viva Voltaire foals for inspection and sale.
