Ottawa, Ontario—Canadian Olympian Christilot Boylen earned admirable results at the CDI 3* München, held May 1–4, 2008, in Germany.

Boylen, a current resident of Rittingen, Germany, contested the Grand Prix division, paired with the talented 14-year-old Baden-Wurttemberger gelding Gachino (Gardez x China Town), owned by Mr. and Mrs. Hermosilla.

They started the competition in the Grand Prix qualifier for Freestye class by obtaining a fourth place finish from a field of 14, with a score of 66.542%, before moving to the Grand Prix Freestyle, where a score of 69.450% was achieved, for another solid fourth place finish.

“I was quite pleased with Gachino’s two fourth place finishes, and our Freestyle, which was a new one, was very well received,” stated Boylen. “München had great weather and a turnout of 50,000 people spread over the jumping and dressage stadiums. There was a lot of movement, flags and crowds, and I was happy to see how cool he stayed in that busy environment.”

In the Grand Prix qualifier for Speciale class, Evi Strasser of Sainte-Adele, QC, rode her longtime partner Quantum Tyme, a 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding (Quattro x Argentinius), to an eighth place finish, out of 17 entries, with a score of 65.292%.

In the Advanced division, Strasser rode her young up-and-coming international horse Action Tyme, an eight-year-old Oldenburg stallion (Aktuell x Aleksander), to an 11th place finish in the Prix St.

Georges class with a score of 65.000%.
