The Spruce Meadows “Harvest Classic” Tournament came to a close today with the 1.40 m Richardson Partners Financial Cup. There were 25 entries that made their way into the ring each looking to move onto the jump-off round.
The course was designed by Anthony D’Ambrosio and he tested each horse/rider combination that came into the ring. Only 7 were up to the challenge and able to return for the jump-off.
After the first into the ring, Emily George (CAN) and Quidams Ramiro, put down a clear round it was clear speed would win. George’s time to beat was 40.80seconds.
The first to challenge her time was Innisfail’s Beda Wachter. Wachter was able to come across the finish line with his stallion WH Carthago Sun III in 40.56 seconds. His time was fast enough to win the Richardson Partners Financial Cup.
