Ottawa, Ontario — ParaEquestrian Canada is pleased to announce Isabel Reinertson of Salmon Arm, BC has been elected as the ParaEquestrian Board of Directors Chair for the 2007-2008 year.

A retired educator, Reinertson has been working with para-equestrians for several years, and assisted in the process of Para-Equestrian Canada becoming recognized as an official discipline within Equine Canada.  She is a National ParaEquestrian judge and a Dressage Canada Level ‘M’ judge.

Due to the resignation of Lorraine Stubbs and Sharon Buffitt after the 2007 election process, the board has appointed Cara Hudson of Langley, BC to finish the term for Lorraine Stubbs.  Hudson has experience as a volunteer for therapeutic riding centres and was fund-raising chair for one of the Athens Paralympians.  Hudson also managed the scoring and reporting for the Pacific Rim CPDI 4* competiton last September.  She is employed by the Royal Bank. The remaining term for Buffitt is not currently filled.

The board also welcomes Erin McRae of Delta, BC to the position of Chair of the Athlete Development Committee and Sarah Turvolgyi as Chair of Finance.
