The 92nd Spring Elite Auction became an online auction and with this digital instrument, customers bought their chosen Oldenburg conveniently, safely and easily from home. The young talents of this premiere delighted customers from all over the world and sparked exciting bidding duels to the last second.
The four-year-old licensed Movie Star by Morricone I – Bentley – Rubinstein I, bred by Ines Lohmann, Extertal, and exhibited by Friedbert Schaul, Heilbronn, became the top price with 250,000 euros. The black stallion is the son of the Champion Stallion Morricone I and the Grand Prix successful Toscana OLD under Hubertus Schmidt. In the future, the movement artist will delight a new customer in Great Britain.
The second most expensive dressage horse with 112,000 euros was the five-year-old Flor Dressage Royal by Finest – Dressage Royal – Sandro Hit, bred by Paul Rode, Lindern, and exhibited by IVM Horse GmbH, Warendorf. The mare started her career as a champion of the German Foal Championships in Lienen and paraded at the Elite Broodmare Show in Rastede. From the same dam line comes also Anky van Grunsven’s Olympic champion Bonfire.
For 111,500 euros, the six-year-old French riding horse champion Danseuse Royale by Don Juan de Hus – Rubin-Royal – In Extenso, bred by Xavier Marie, France, and exhibited by Star Horses, France, sold to a young dressage rider from Hessen/Germany.
The top price for the show jumpers was five-year-old Zarzuela by Diarado – Concetto – Castro, bred and exhibited by Gestüt Woldsee, Bad Zwischenahn. Dam Zorcetta also brought Zoey by Quality, successful in 1.45 m classes under Faye Sutton. The charming mare moved to a renowned jumping stable in Austria for 111,000 euros.
Oldenburg’s breeders, friends and customers celebrated this online auction firework on the screens all around the world. All expectations of the auction team were exceeded. The total sales of the Online Elite Auction reached 1.740.500 Euro. The average price of the horses ranged more than 41,000 Euros.
