A new event at a new show jumping venue ‒ the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, WV ‒ will be the site of an FEI CSI 5* and CSI 2* on October 13-17, 2021.

The ArenaMend Classic will take place at the spectacular five-star Greenbrier Resort, which until last year hosted a major tournament on the PGA golf tour. With stunning views of the Allegheny mountain range, the vision for this horse show with a limited number of competitors (50 5* riders and 60 2* riders) is to offer a ‘destination weekend’ experience for the riders and their families (it is unlikely at this point that large crowds would be allowed due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic). Alan Wade of Ireland will be handling the course designing duties. Livestreaming will be offered so viewers all over North America can watch the high-performance international action.

Organizer Dan Carr, owner of ArenaMend, a sustainable organic footing company, and the former CEO of the now-defunct Palm Beach Masters Series, hopes to combine world-class show jumping with the resort’s wide array of sporting activities ‒ from trail riding, falconry, kayaking, fishing, mountain biking and even glass-blowing.

The ArenaMend Classic joins 10 other FEI CSI5* shows on the USEF calendar and will offer prize money of $711,200. More details will be published as they become available.
