As the ongoing conflict reaches the one-month mark, Equitrans Logistics continues to deliver uninterrupted horse and pet transport services, ensuring the safe movement of animals into and out of the UAE despite heightened geopolitical uncertainty across the region.

Working in close coordination with national carriers Emirates and Etihad Airways, alongside key regulatory authorities including the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, the Emirates Racing Authority, and the UAE Equestrian Federation, Equitrans has maintained stable, compliant transport operations across both air and road networks.

In March alone, the company has managed the air transport of 172 horses, operating across key international routes including Liège, London Stansted, Paris, Amsterdam, Johannesburg, and Osaka. In parallel, 24 pets have been relocated to destinations including Johannesburg, Madrid, London Heathrow, and Paris, as demand for family relocations continues to rise.

Regional transport has also remained active, with 199 horses moved by road within the UAE and across the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council, six Arab nations bordering the Persian Gulf: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman), supporting ongoing competitions and training operations under increased security protocols and operational oversight.

Alongside its equine operations, Equitrans’ dedicated pet transport division has expanded its support to families navigating relocation during the current climate, working to provide flexible and cost-conscious solutions to ensure animals are not left behind.

David Robson, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Equitrans Logistics, said, “We are operating in a highly dynamic environment, but our priority remains unchanged — the safe, compliant movement of every animal in our care, while giving owners clarity and guiding them in an ever-changing environment. Whether it is high-performance sport horses travelling internationally or family pets relocating with their owners, there is no margin for error and the detail is reserved to Equitrans team while keeping it simple for the customer.

“We’ve scaled our operations, strengthened our coordination with airlines and authorities, and adapted in real time to ensure continuity. At the same time, we are seeing a clear increase in demand from families who are determined not to leave their animals behind. That’s something we take seriously — this is about responsibility to animals that are part of the family, as much as logistics to get them home safely.”
