Ottawa, Ontario — Equine Canada’s Breeds & Industry Division is inviting breeders, breed associations and businesses to participate in a mission to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, March 27-April 5, 2007. You can attend in person or simply send your promotional material to be given away on your behalf.

Delegates will exhibit from the Equine Canada booth at the Dubai International Horse Fair where they will meet with local and international buyers and Canadian Consulate staff. This unique event in the Middle East is complimented by a multinational trade fair and the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship. The mission also includes attendance at a show jumping competition at the Dubai Polo and Equestrian Club and an endurance race. To top it off, delegates will spend a day at the races for US$6M Dubai World Cup, the richest thoroughbred race in the world.

This market has great potential and it is in need of horses, services and supplies of all kinds which Canada can offer. In the last decade, the UAE Equestrian & Racing Federation has built strong infrastructure to support equestrian in general, particularly in the sports of Arabian and thoroughbred racing, endurance, show jumping and polo.

The coordinated generic export promotional activities of the past few years under the platform “Equine Canada, Exporting Canadian-bred Horses to the World” has raised Canada’s profile and created new interest from buyers around the globe who recognize the “buying Canadian-bred advantages” of excellent quality, bloodlines, expertise, customer service, environmentally responsible production and innovation.
