Jane Tidball, President and Tournament Director at Thunderbird Show Park, is pleased to announce that Chris Pack has been promoted to Vice President, Operations at Thunderbird Show Park. Chris has held progressive roles in the equine industry for the past 10 years, including his early beginnings with EMG in Ontario and most recently as Tournament Manager for the past five years at Thunderbird. Chris sits on the Jump Canada Board as FEI Representative, Competitions Committee, and is also a member of the Athlete Development Committee and the Editorial Board of Jump Canada’s official newsletter, ‘The Warm-Up Ring’.

Tieg Clark has been named Thunderbird Show Park’s new Facility Operations and Competitions Manager. Tieg has a background as an Emergency Medical Responder with three years experience at North Saanich Fire Rescue. Tieg has had several years of experience in a variety of roles with the Vancouver Island Hunter Jumper Association and had contracted the Medic Services to Thunderbird Show Park in 2007. A rider himself with a comprehensive understanding of the equine industry, Tieg will be a valuable addition to the Thunderbird Team.

Thunderbird Show Park is gearing up for the 2008 show season which will include the Canadian Premier from May 21-25 followed by the CSI**-W British Columbia Open from May 28-June 1 featuring the $50,000 Warsteiner World Cup Qualifier on the grass grand prix field. Among the other summer tournaments is the popular CSI** Summer Festival scheduled from August 20-24, 2008.
