The Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame Induction Gala will be held Wednesday, August 7th at the Mississauga Convention Centre, to celebrate the class of 2019 and their spectacular contributions to the sport of horse racing.
This year’s Hall of Fame inductees highlight Canadian horse racing success stories from across the country and the international racing world.
The Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame Class of 2019 includes:
- All Along (FR), Veteran Thoroughbred Horse – France
- Angus Hall, Male Standardbred Horse – Quebec-bred
- Josie Carroll, Thoroughbred Trainer – born in Scarborough, ON, resident of Etobicoke, ON
- Ian Fleming, Standardbred Builder – Clinton, ON
- Lexi Lou, Female Thoroughbred Horse – Ontario-bred
- Bory Margolus (deceased), Thoroughbred Builder – Alberta
- Trevor Ritchie, Driver – Acton, ON
- Jimmy Takter, Standardbred Trainer – New Jersey
- Tricky Tooshie, Female Standardbred Horse – Quebec-bred
- Mickey Walls, Jockey – Born in Vancouver, BC., resident of Etobicoke, ON
Homage will also be paid to 2019 Legend honouree, Dan Patch for his contribution to Canadian horse racing during the early 1900’s.
The Gala event will feature a cocktail reception, a fantastic line up of silent and live auction items, and a gourmet four-course dinner with wine.
The reception and silent auction will commence at 5:30 p.m., followed by a four-course dinner, live auction and induction ceremonies at 6:30 p.m. Early bird pricing for tickets is being offered until end of business July 10th for $175 per person, or $1,700 for a table sponsorship which includes 8 tickets, and a $300.00 charitable donation to the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame.
Ticket prices increase to $200 per person after July 10th.
The live and silent auction will feature an impressive list of items including stallion breedings, sporting event tickets, racing related memorabilia, art and other surprises! Auction donations are welcomed. All proceeds from the auction will go towards helping the Hall of Fame recognize the achievements of the best in Canadian horse racing and celebrating the history of the sport.
