The 2013 Canadian Team Trials were held this year in Ontario during the OFA’s Canada Cup. This year’s team includes two returning Canadian Team members, Tom Barnett and Randy Brassard, both from Ontario. Joining them are three new team members, all up-and-coming international competitors; Travis Buck from Ontario, Aaron Steeves from New Brunswick, and alternate Dan Corkery also from Ontario.
The team will be keeping themselves busy between work and competitions, their first appearance will be at the annual Rumble in the Bronx competition held in Ontario the first weekend of June. If you are not able to see the guys in action in Ontario you will be able to catch them lining up to compete on the international stage at the World Championship Blacksmiths Competition during the Calgary Stampede July 3-7. Following Stampede the team will be preparing for their travel to Stoneleigh, England for the 34rd International Team Horseshoeing Championship September 27 – 29th.
